FPWR Strategic Initiatives for 2006

The Foundation for Prader-Willi Research is a dedicated group of individuals focused on the organization's mission of creating an independent future for those impacted by Prader-Willi syndrome.

To accomplish this mission, the Board of Directors has established the following key initiatives:

  • Increase awareness and exposure of the FPWR amongst the PWS community, research community, and the public at large
    • Develop new marketing identity and brand - done!
    • Redesign print materials, collateral - done!
    • Develop new online website - done!
    • Develop communications (PR) and marketing plan

  • Develop longer-term fundraising capability beyond letter writing and events
    • Develop endowment program
    • Improve our donor development & fundraising process
      • Develop donor management database - done!
      • Develop fundraising tools and processes
    • Expand fundraising into corporate and government sectors
    • Develop automated fundraising tools

  • Grow and equip our Membership base
    • Develop membership development program
    • Develop educational programs for members
    • Develop membership communication tools
    • Improve advocacy skills of membership base

  • Continue to support the best research for Prader-Willi syndrome
