Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport is located in Virginia 3 ½ miles from downtown Washington, DC and only 1 mile from the hotel. Twenty airlines service National; they provide domestic service with more than 390 non-stop departures to over 70 cities.
  • Complimentary airport shuttle service is available through the Marriott Crystal Gateway Hotel. The shuttle runs every 15 minutes beginning at 5:45 AM until 11:00 PM. Follow the signs to ground transportation and look for signs that say Hotel Shuttles.

  • Rail Options: Reagan National Airport has its own Metrorail stop on the Yellow and Blue Lines one stop away from the Marriott Crystal Gateway Hotel (which is located at the Crystal City Metro stop)

  • You can take an Amtrak Train from BWI to Washington, DC's Union Station. Union Station is on DC Metrorail's Red Line; take the Red Line headed towards Shady Grove to the Gallery Place Chinatown stop and transfer to the Yellow Line in the direction of Huntington; disembark at the Crystal City stop.

  • Rail Options: At present, the nearest Metrorail station is the West Falls Church Station on the Orange Line. Direct transportation to this station is available from the Washington Flyer Coach Service . Each coach is handicapped accessible. Buses depart approximately every 30 minutes and boarding announcements are made inside the airport.
  • How to connect to the Metrorail system from Dulles Airport:  Purchase a ticket (one-way or round-trip) at the Washington Flyer Coach ticket counter located at Arrivals Door #4 in the Main Terminal. Travelers will also board the Coach from this location. The buses depart approximately every 30 minutes but please listen for announcements for exact bus departure times. Trains bound for "New Carrollton" will take you towards Downtown Washington, DC. Take the Orange Line until you reach Rosslyn Station where you need to transfer to a Blue Line train headed towards Franconia-Springfield. Take the Blue Line until you reach the Crystal City Metro stop where the hotel is located

 

Transportation Around Washington, DC

Neat and orderly in its conception, DC was designed in a simple grid pattern. Lettered streets run east to west and numbered streets run north to south, crisscrossed by broad avenues named for states. Bus and rail lines connect the hotel with all neighborhoods and points of interest.

Metrorail and Metrobus The Metro’s five rail lines connect Washington, DC with Maryland and Virginia, and handle more than 200 million trips per year.  The base subway fare is $1.65 and the base bus fare is $1.35; transfers are $0.45
 The Circulator Launched in 2005, the Circulator is DC's newest transportation option, connecting the Washington Convention Center to Georgetown, Union Station, Capitol Hill, and the National Mall. The cost is $1.00/ride
Georgetown Metro Connection The Georgetown Metro Connection was established to link the popular neighborhood with the Metrorail system. Fares are $1.00 or $0.35 with a Metrorail transfer.
